FUFA Big League side, Police FC came from a goal behind to eliminate BUL FC from the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Ronald Sempala scored Police’s winner in the 64th minute after a Pascal Ngobi’s own goal had levelled matters for the Cops early on in the second half.
Ngobi’s own goal came in the 54th minute following Jackson Ssemugabi’s header.
BUL had gone ahead early on the opening half when Anthony Mayanja found the back of the net.
This result means Police are the first team to advance to this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinals.
The quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup will return on Friday when SC Vipers welcome Calvary ae St. Mary’s.
Elsewhere, at Kavumba KCCA FC will take on Soltilo Bright Stars in the alternative quarterfinal fixture.
