Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder Allan Okello has joined champions, Vipers SC. The Club announced on Thursday.

The attacker joins the Venoms on a three-year deal as a free agent having cut ties with Algerian outfit, Paradou AC recently.

Okello raked up 13 goals and assists in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) last term during his loan spell with KCCA FC.

The talented player joins the Kitende-based side after Patrick Mbowa, Richard Matovu, Grant Matsiko, David Bagoole, Mohamed Salem Ekbad and Fumador Asiwome.

His stint at Paradou was rather uneventful, therefore the 23-year-old is expected to reignite his career at St. Mary’s, with two UPL titles to his name (2017 and 2019). He also clinched the 2019 FUFA Male Player of the Year Award.

After completing his move, Okello said he “can’t wait to get started with the team”

The official Vipers website quotes him further: “I am so excited to be here at this big club and I didn’t have to think twice when Vipers called me, I just knew I wanted to sign for the club.”

Viper’s Sporting Director, Charles Masembe was full of praise for the star during his unveiling, noting: “(Okello) adds further quality and versatility” to the Venoms attack.
