Uganda Cranes have dropped head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic after the Serbian failed to help the team qualify for the AFCON finals for the second consecutive time.

“Today, Thursday 14th September 2023, FUFA and Mr Milutin Sredojevic agreed to mutually end the existing employment contract between the two parties. FUFA appreciates all efforts and commitment by Mr. Milutin during his period as Head coach of Uganda Cranes. It is Our Game, It is Our Country,” FUFA said in a statement

The national side has struggled to gain momentum during his time at the top of business. For his last 17 competitive games since 2021, Micho won seven, drew five and lost five.

During his first stint from,2013 to 2017,  he engineered Uganda’s prestigious return to the Africa Cup of Nations Finals after 39 years.
