Nkumba University Beach Boys were able to rise from their ruins following a 4 goal display against visitors Gulu University on Tuesday in the Pepsi University Football League (UFL).
Sulaiman Bbosa’s charges fell to St. Lawrence University in the league opener, and needed to bounce back in their subsequent game in order to improve their chances for qualification.
Jamaldin Nsereko scored in the 24th minute to put the beach boys ahead, followed by a brace from Irivai Obuto Mamur and a fourth by Isaac Musuga in the 56th minute to seal matters.
Speaking to the press, Bbosa was full of praise for the beach boys.
“I commend the boys for putting up a good performance, after our loss at St. Lawrence, we were able to address our mistakes and put in the hard work,” he stated.
Later today, University of Kisubi take on champions Uganda Martyrs University and International University of East Africa welcome St. Lawrence University.
