Kigali, Rwanda – In a thrilling encounter at the Kigali Pele stadium, the Uganda national women’s team, known as the Cranes, emerged victorious against their neighbors Rwanda with a 1-0 win in the Sunday evening CAF Women’s Olympics qualifiers.

The result sets up a highly anticipated clash between Uganda and West Africa giants Cameroon in the second round of qualifiers.

The first leg between Uganda and Rwanda had ended in a dramatic 3-3 stalemate, leaving the final clash as the decider for the teams.
